After Shower Hair Ritual
Updated: Jul 12, 2020
I always get asked about how I keep my hair smooth and healthy even with my blonde hair. We put our hair through the ringer with all the dying and bleaching, but that doesn’t mean you have to end up chopping your hair off due to damage and dryness. You too can have long, luscious, healthy hair…whether you’re a blonde or a brunette.
If you’re interested in learning my hair routine (after the shower), then keep on reading. I’ll be sharing the products I regularly use to keep my hair in shape. [I have another blog post where I go in depth, sharing secrets and ALL my hair care
products. Check it out.]
Have you ever tried brushing your wet hair without any leave in conditioner? Not fun, right? Your brush doesn't seem to glide through and you find yourself tugging and breaking your hair. Let's stop that and start giiving your hair some lovin'
After towel drying your hair, take the Mizani Miracle Milk and spray generously before you brush your hair. This thing works like magic! No more tangles or unnecessary pain while you brush your hair. This leave in conditioner moisturizes, softens, and smooths out your hair, making brushing easy breezy. Plus, it smells amazing! You can also use It’s a Ten leave in conditioner; works just as great. Only difference is Mizani brand is a tad less inexpensive. Tip: After finishing a bottle of your leave in conditioner, switch to a different one. I have listed 3 I use religiously.
The hair brush I like to use is the Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Anti-Static Cushioned Rectangular Paddle Brush
Now that your hair is brushed, take the Schwarzkopf bc bonacure sealed ends and squeeze out a tiny amount; no more than a dime size. Remember, a little goes a long way with this product. Evenly spread it through the ends of your hair.
Next it’s time for ze serum! This will help with any fizziness and will keep your hair smooth and shiny. Again take a small amount and spread it throughout your entire head, starting from the bottom and working your way up. Here are my two favorites: + Trader Joes Hair Serum (you can find this at your neighborhood Trader Joes) + Paul Mitchel Super Skinny Serum
Guess what, you’re donne! Easy, right? It really doesn’t take that much time or effort. I can personally say these products have been a life saver for me…keeping my hair smooth, luscious and smelling AMAZING!
